This course is designed for people who want to work with children from birth to five years. The DCC Child Day Care Diploma introduces you to this specialist field. Current regulations and legislation for early childhood development centres require caregivers to be suitably trained and know how to develop, respond to, support and care for children. This course also covers the basics of how to start and run your own centre.

The Child Day Care Diploma is part of the DCC Job Creator series. The DCC Child Day Care Diploma is a DCC Diploma, which is not an accredited NQF qualification. This programme is approved by the Damelin Correspondence College Academic Board.
You should be able to complete this course within 24 months.
Grade 10 (Std. 8) or equivalent, or relevant work experience (3 years).
You are required to complete and submit nine assignments to the College for marking. All assignments must be successfully passed in order to obtain the award.
All students are encouraged to work on all the assignments that are in the study guide. However, students are required to submit compulsory assignments that are provided in the Study Programme. Only these compulsory assignments will be marked and accounted for to be included in the final mark.
On successful completion of this course, you will receive your Damelin Correspondence College Child Day Care Diploma.
