Entrance Requirements

Grade 10 (Std. 8) or equivalent, or relevant work experience.

Computer Requirements

Personal computer with minimum 1GHz (x86) or 1.4GHz (x64)
processor (2GHz or faster recommended), 1 GB of RAM or
more (4GB recommended; 8GB enables you to host all the
virtual machines specified for all the practice exercises in the
book), 15GB free hard disk space (60GB recommended; 80 GB
enables you to host all the virtual machines specified for all
the practice exercises in the book), DVD-ROM Drive or DVD
Writer Drive, Super VGA (1, 024 x 768) or higher resolution
video adapter and monitor, Keyboard and Microsoft mouse or
compatible pointing device .

Software Packages:
You have the option of adding a computer component to your
Graphic Design course at an additional cost which will enhance
your skills.

STUDENT VERSION
Photoshop can be an invaluable tool for creating graphics,
allowing you to begin with scanned photographs or hand
artwork or by painting and creating artwork from within the
application. The results can include retouched and colour
corrected photographs, photo illustrations and computer
effects.

STUDENT VERSION
CorelDRAW is a graphics programme which allows you to
create illustrations containing text, graphics and electronic
photographs that could be used in graphics for Internet use,
logos, marketing brochures, posters and much more.

Programme Duration

You should be able to complete the Graphic Design course
within 12 months. Should you choose one of the computer
add-on courses, it will take you an additional 6 months to
complete.
