To accomplish any important goal in life requires both a plan and a commitment to keep to that plan. What follows is a simple but effective 10-step process that will guide you to achieve your chosen Damelin qualification.

  Step 1
Choose the course that suits you best:
• Identify a career that best suits your interests, natural abilities and enthusiasm
• Choose a course programme within that career for which you satisfy the entrance requirements

  Step 2
Decide how you wish to pay:
• You may pay the full cash fee or by terms. Cash is better for you as it will save you interest costs
• If paying terms, you may send a bank deposit slip with your enrolment form indicating payment of the deposit amount,
and then pay the balance in regular monthly instalments
• The College will send you a statement each month showing how much you have paid to date and the remaining   balance
• You can save by enrolling now for the complete course, even if you only want to do some of the subjects this year   and the rest later

  Step 3

Fill in your enrolment form and send it to Damelin by:
• Fax: Braamfontein (011) 403 9514, Cape Town (021) 425 6110 Durban (031) 301 0301; or
• Phoning one of our Student Counsellors to assist you in filling out the form: 0860 61 61 61; or
• Taking it to your nearest Damelin office; or
• Posting it to Damelin Correspondence, P.O. Box 590, Cape Town, 8000, with your first payment. Remember to register   the letter if it contains cash or postal orders

  Step 4
Damelin will send you your first Study Pack containing the following:
• Your Damelin study notes designed to make you feel as though you have your teacher at your side
• Your Exam Information Sheet that tells you how to enter for your examinations
• Your Personal Study Programme that shows the number of books in each subject
• Your Test Sheets - to make it easy for you to send your progress tests to the College
• Your Student Query Forms - when you need additional help
• Your Student Card - identifies you as a student wherever you go

  Step 5
Decide on the times that suit you best and then work out your own study timetable:
• Try to keep to your timetable! It is very difficult to catch up when you have fallen behind.

  Step 6
Get down to the serious business of studying:
• The notes have been designed to take the place of a class teacher

  Step 7
Write regular tests to see how you are doing:
• Continuous assessment is an essential feature of Distance Learning. There are numerous test-yourself exercises to   help you make sure that you are on top of your work at all times
• At the end of every module you will write a progress test that must be sent to the College for marking and comment. It   will be returned to you with a model answer

  Step 8
  Enter for the Examinations:
• Follow the instructions in your Student Information Sheet on how and when to enter for your examinations
Remember that it is your own responsibility to register in time for a particular examination sitting

  Step 9
  Write the examinations:
• When you go into the examination room, it will be with the knowledge that you have had the very best preparation
and you can face the exam papers with confidence

  Step 10
  Qualify for your certificate:
• Join the thousands of successful Damelin students who have made a success of their careers
